Luzon in the Philippines.
Taxonomy
Some authorities see this as a monotypic species, other include subspecies malindangensis. Until recently, Montane Racquet-tail included Mindanao Racquet-tail, and some authorities still prefer that. Earlier, both taxa was considered part of Yellowish-breasted Racquet-tail.
