Identification

Distribution

Asia: found from Russia to China and south to Myanmar, Thailand and Indochina.

Taxonomy

Formerly included in Spotted Bush Warbler and in the genus Bradypterus

Subspecies

Two subspecies are recognized[1].

  • L. t. davidi
    Breeds in southeastern Russia (from the southeastern Transbaikalia east to western Amurland) and northeastern China, probably also in central China (central Sichuan, southern Gansu, and southern Shaanxi); winters in southeast Asia, probably in northern Indochina
  • L. t. suschkini
    Breeds in south central Siberia from Altai east to the southwestern Transbaikalia; winters in southeast Asia, probably in Myanmar and Thailand

Habitat

Boreal forests.
