Identification

Distribution

Asia: found in central China and Japan; winters to southern China and Indochina

Taxonomy

Monotypic[1], though some authorities recognise subspecies Turdus cardis yessoensis in addition[2].

Habitat

Light woodland, rural farmland and on the fringes of urban areas.
