Identification
17cm.
Distribution
Asia: found in China, Tibet, Nepal, India, Eastern and Western Himalayas.
Taxonomy
This species is also known as Adam's Snowfinch or Tibetan Snowfinch; however, the last name is problematic because that name is also used for a different species Tibetan Snowfinch.
It has at times been considered a part of White-winged Snowfinch.

- Western China (north-western Nan Shan Mountains to Astin Tagh Mountains)
Habitat
Dry shrubland and open stony hillsides.
