Identification

28–31 cm
Male

  • Green head, upperparts and breast
  • Yellowish bare facial patch
  • Bill: whitish through to green with a yellow base

Distribution

Western Africa: found in Guinea, Nigeria, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species[1].

Habitat

Lowland rain, swamp and flood forests.

Behaviour

Diet
