Identification

13–14·5 cm (5-5¾ in)

  • Black crown with bluish sheen
  • Grey upperparts

Distribution

Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela.

  • Western Ecuador (Guayaquil basin) and Isla Puná
