Distribution
South America: found from Amazonian and eastern Brazil to eastern Bolivia, Paraguay and northern Argentina
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Marshes and shrubby vegetation; riversides and oxbow lakes.
Behaviour
Diet
They forage on, or near the ground and on floating vegetation for insects.
