Distribution
An East African species, distributed from South Sudan and Ethiopia over Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, south-eastern Zaire south to Zambia and Malawi.
Taxonomy
Subspecies
Four subspecies accepted[1]:
- B. c. cinnamomeus in most of East Africa
- B. c. cavei in southern South Sudan and northeastern Uganda
- B. c. mildbreadi in the Ruwenzori mountains
- B. c. nyassae from northern Tanzania to DRC and south to Zambia and Malawi
The Bangwa Scrub-Warbler is considered conspecific by some authorities[2].
Habitat
Dense vegetation, forest edges; observed at a height of 2500m.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists of small insects, beetles, ants and caterpillars.
