Distribution
Western Africa: found in Mauritania, Senegambia, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Cameroon
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species.
The subspecies morelorum is usually not accepted.
Habitat
Forest and thickets, lightly wooded savanna.
Behaviour
Forages in leaf litter.
Diet
Their diet consists of insects and arthropods, such as ants, millipedes and spiders.
