Distribution
South America: found locally in South-east Brazil, south-eastern Paraguay and north-eastern Argentina.

This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Savanna grasslands, dry pastures and fields at heights up to 900 m.
Behaviour
Diet
They forage on the ground for insects. But little more information is available.
