Found on Truk and Pohnpei (Caroline Islands).

Taxonomy

This is a monotypic species.
Formerly considered conspecific with Crimson-crowned Fruit Dove and Kosrae Fruit Dove.

Habitat

Mangroves and lowland moist forests.
