Identification
18 cm. A small, olive-brown bulbul with a slight crest.
- Olive-brwon crown and ear-coverts with narrow pale shaft streaks

Distribution
Endemic to Palawan in the western Philippines.

This is a monotypic species.
Sometimes placed in the genus Ixos or in Hypsipetes.
Habitat
Found in evergreen forest, forest edges and secondary growth in the mountains of Palawan.
