A rather straightforward one (that I also would have been aware of!)
It's only easy when you know them of course - seeing black legs and feet and snow white plumage on a bit of dried out wood = Snow Bunting, much as have seen in Lapland (not seen in the US).

I failed to get yesterday's (Summer Tanager?) as the family Tanager didn't even cross my mind unfortunately ... ;-)

I thought of it and still guessed it incorrectly.
It was a non-breeding male scarlet tanager; incorrectly guessed western tanager on my fourth attempt but the pic afterwards had more of its wing showing which helped me guess it correctly.

Duh!!

This took way too many guesses.

It doesn’t help when you accidently hit the enter/select key!

Whereas I was pretty lucky ... for a bird I don't even know ;-)

Oops - I was replying to the wrong day/bird there I think. Today's bird was the one I don't really know (or at least never seen an illustration of etc). Got the family on first guess, then lucky with the species on second. ;-)

Yesterday was Tree Swallow? Which I made a bit of a mess of.
