A rather straightforward one (that I also would have been aware of!)
I thought of it and still guessed it incorrectly.
It was a non-breeding male scarlet tanager; incorrectly guessed western tanager on my fourth attempt but the pic afterwards had more of its wing showing which helped me guess it correctly.

Yes, I haven’t seen a lot of these (today’s) but still should have got it. It’s a good thing I take my ID book out every time!
