European aftersales service

Item details

Hello, I was wondering if someone can help me. After years of wonderful use I want to replace my Swarovski ATS 80 HD with a newer scope. Especially in evening conditions I notice that a larger objective lens is not a luxury. So I was thinking at Swarovski ATX 85 or Kowa TSN-88A. I tested them both and they have superb lens quality, of course the Swarovski has a compacter design and rubbercoating, the Kowa has a very good focussing system but no rubber protection coating.
Unfortunately or may luckily I haven't had an experience with problems so I don't know how good Swarovski's repair service is.
I have spoken to 2 retailers of optics and they both confirm that Swarovski doesn't offer a superb repair service anymore. What I read about Kowa, doesn't give me a lot of confidence. We are talking about an investment of €3400 - €3900, so I want to make a good choice. Maybe some of you have had experiences with repairing, waiting times, quality and correctness? Thanks for your opinion.
