First impressions
What is it - £60 quid (rrp £80)
What is it for - hand-held finder. A bit like half a pair of high power binoculars.
Multi coated, nitrogen flushed, dunk it in a muddy pond waterproof, rubber coated tough as a brick, 25y warranty.
Comes with a toy tripod, lens cloth, soft bag and case.
The annoying floppy front lens cap comes off without destroying it, you have to find a pocket for the rear rubber cup anyway.
imo not for photography even with a phone.
Sharp in centre, fuzzy at edge (as expected). Move the zoom, obliged to refocus. Magnification acceptable at 24x, iffy above that.
There's far worse out there. Better than expected.
For finding the birdie yes. For watching the birdie, get the camera and big lens out.
But I like it. As an alternative to binoculars. A simple camera pistol grip steadies it up nicely.
