Pros
  • Clarity, color, FOV, edge to edge sharpness
Cons
This scope is great! The clarity is superb, bright colors, sharp and clear edge to edge. The 30-60X WA eyepiece offers a very wide field of view. Works great digiscoping. We took pictures of a hawk at 100 yards when very over cast (about to rain) pictures came out great. Comparing with Swarovski, Kowa, and Zeiss, this spotting scope has a lot to offer at a lower price. I feel it is the best scope for the money on the market.

Pros
  • wide field of view, resolution, ergonomics, price
Cons
  • none
An excellent scope. Have compared it against both swarovski and kowa and the meopta stand well against them both. Sharpness, colors, contrast, brightness is superb and up in the league with the very best. But at a lower price, wich i think makes it the most priceworthy of all the scopes among the top brands.
With this scope meopta shows that they belong right up in the top with the leica, swarovski, kowa and zeiss.

Pros
  • Top-class at mid range price. Wide zoom FOV. Sharp to edge.
Cons
  • If RB bothers you, you mightn't get on with it.
Seriously good scope. My previous faves were Nikon ED82, Swaro ATS80HD, and (old) Zeiss 85 Victory Diascope w/Baader zoom. I think this Meopta outclasses these with it's wide-field, edge sharp 30-60 zoom that holds AFOV throughout. Pincushion is odd- it's the reverse of what you see usually, i.e. horizon bends upwards at top of field, downwards at bottom. This is noticeable when sea watching, but it doesn't bother me. Odd RB too- I noticed it a lot when panning vertically down a mountainside (if that's actually 'panning'). Loss of light or clarity is minimal at 60x. Focusser on my unit is perfect, not stiff. Tripod foot fits Manfrotto without need for plate. Highly recommended.
