    Strange stuffed hawk

My friend found this from old municipal care home. I'm guessing it's a White-tailed Hawk? I've no idea how it has been ended in Finland and care home. I try to find out.

    Copenhagen - October 2023

I'm traveling to Copenhagen in next month for a weekend. Main targets are Short-toed Treecreeper, Green Woodpecker and Middle Spotted Woody. What parks are good for these? Also interested for "plastic" species (if there are any) and rarities (naturally). Many thanks in advance for the good advice.

    Lizards of Fuerteventura, Canary Island

I manage to photographed couple of islands lizards. The ID should be easy cos there is only one Lacertid species and one Skink in Fuerteventura (Or is there some introduced species?). So these all are Atlantic Lizards (Gallotia atlantica). Or is the lizard in last pic something else? It was...

Hadada Ibis in Fuerteventura (Canary Islands)

Are the Hadadas escaped or are they already breeding in the wild in the Fuerteventura? I couldn't find them from eBirds Spain list. There was at least 4 Hadadas in centre of Morro Jable.

Gull - Morro Jable, Fuerteventura, Canary Is.

I'm a little bit of between two options (or maybe three) with this. Is it Audouins or Mediterranian Gull? Or even something else? It looked like too petite for a Yellow-legged. On the last pic might be some other species. Photos taken on November 24.

Spotted or Common Sandpiper? - Caleta de Fuste, Fuerteventura, Canary Is.

Traces of a Three Big (in Finland)

It was my first day on my new job and I manage to found traces of the Three Big ones from fresh snow. When I found that scratched glove, I thought there was all what was left off my predecessor... After those Bear traces I found traces of four Wolves and one Wolverine. At the next day I found...

These birds are photographed in VesterĂ¥len and Lofoten islands between 30.6. - 3.7.2019. On first 3 photos I think is Common Redpoll juvenile. Same bird in two first photos, but the forehead looks really dark. Is it something else? Third picture is clearer but I still wonder, is it Redpoll...

Wonder wondering the Wonders of Nature on the shore of the Mare Karelia and elsewhere

I decide to keep some kind of "Birding diary" at this year. Well... I try anyway. Firstly I have to think what Title I give this. "Another great day at South-East Finland". Hmm... I have a feeling that I have seen something similar somewhere... :king: What about "Targets for this year"? No -...
