    Fuji X-T1 + Fujifilm XF 100-400 Samples

For those who wanted to see how this combo perform, I took some picture today. The light was flat and uninspiring but I still managed a few good capture https://flic.kr/s/aHskxEtQys

Tamron SP 150-600mm F5-6.3 DI IF VC USD

I am using an normal arca swiss plate with an Jobu Design Jr3 and I had no issue balancing it. It's pretty much in the middle. Are you using a battery grip ? This might effect the balance point.

For a guy who talks so much trash about others photographic work, this picture you have posted certainly isn't better than any P&S camera can do. It's nice to see you are more humble about your work, I just wish you return the favor to others. Prime will always be better than zoom. There is...

interesting. I only had my 70D for a few weeks and yes once in a while it would hunt but it was not constant hunting. Even with the limiter engage?

Tamron SP 150-600mm F5-6.3 DI IF VC USD

This must be a problem on older crop sensor body . I had nothing but great success in finding focus in the most difficult situation on the 5D3. Even finding a bird through branches. When I had my 70D, I didn't have too much trouble either. Is this something that is directly related to older...

Thanks Roy. I think you did a very good job with it. I will keep in mind the cropping. I did it to show how sharp the image was. A lot of pixel peeper like the very close approach shot. I am with you thought. It gives more breathing that way.

Thanks Dave. Fair critique here. The branch was bothering me too. I'll see if I can crop wider and just get rid of it. You ask me about BIF, So follow the link : https://www.flickr.com/photos/fogboundturtle/13573762505/ Its not my specialty. Edit. here's the redone of the initial picture. I...

I am trying to step up my game. This was shot during a overcast day. So not a lot of contract or harsh light. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7036/13678588004_2e61d0161c_b.jpg

Owning a Ferrari doesn't you make you a better driver. So people who strive to improve their craft will always be on top of the game. If anything, people are leaving behind their big camera for mirrorless and smartphone. We are the odd one who still like to use, and I am using this term loosely...

ffs, you don't need an 8000$ camera to do BIF. I used to do it with an T2i and a 100-400L. Yes, you keeper rate will be higher but its more technique than tool.

I think that if you are having issue shooting bird with the 5D3 , the 1DX won't help you. There is also skilled that needs to be perfected before you really gain advantage from a faster body.

I am sorry but the last time I check the 5D3 does have the AF system on the 1Dx. It just doesn't have the FPS. As a shooter with APS-C and FF camera, I can see how FF is a huge improvement in terms of low light but we give up reach in return. I have seen the most amazing bird picture taken with...
