    Taken today at Minsmere. 1 and 2. female chaffinch? different individuals 3. garganey? 4. and 5. barwit? different individuals 6. chiffchaff? this looked quite yellowish but the pp wasnt too long so ruling out wood warbler which is also rare. 7. sedge warbler?

    Lymington marshes, UK

    Taken on 14 feb 2022. A few IDs for confirmation and clarification 1. Common sandpiper? 2/3 Curlew or whimbrel? 4 Meadow pipit? 5. Unknown. There was a flock of around 5 to 7 birds which descended on a bush. This was the best i could do.

    Raptor and shorebird. Hjälstaviken, Sweden

    A couple of confirmations please : 1. My tentative id is a juvenile Peregrine Falcon being mobbed by a barn swallow. Apart from the id, i thought this was unusual that a swallow mobs a raptor. Is this known behaviour? Also this individual seems to be ringed perhaps? 2. A juvenile Ruff perhaps?

    Unknown bird. Hjälstaviken, Sweden

    This one was a bit of a mystery for me. Taken on 9th Sept. By the lake, reeds. I think about the size of a fieldfare but difficult to be sure as it was a bit of a distance away. can it be identified?

    Needed some help on a few unidentified birds. 1. and 2. Gulls. Different individuals. Yellow-legged gulls? 3 and 4 : same individual. Some kind of lark. Skylark? 5. Can this be a spanish sparrow? the extensive dark areas on the chest look a bit unusual for a house sparrow.

    Location: Hansta Nature Reserve Most probably a yellowhammer? the chestnut coloured rump left me wondering. How about female cirl bunting? I know cirl bunting is unlikely in sweden but anyway..

    Taiga vs Red-breasted Flycatcher. Gir, India

    I know that there have been many discussions on this topic. Photos 1 and 2 are the same individual. A local expert was adamant that the 1 and 2 was the Taiga and the #3 is the RBF. I thought the reverse was true perhaps. Any opinions?

    A bushchat sized bird flitting about in the undergrowth feeding on insects. Couldnt get a good photograph but through the binoculars observed a prominent supercilium and a small white patch on the leading edge of the wings. Any ideas or is it too difficult from this photo?

    The missus reported that the following large moth had intruded into our kitchen whilst I was away. She captured the photo. Largish moth. Could this be a Theretra genus? Or something else.
