Always better with their bills closed in these ;). And it doesn't look that long-billed anymore, lower mandible looks straight, so might be a theklae in the end.

ID help on Gulls in Dhofar in Oman, February 2024

Hello, all your birds look good for Heuglin's Gulls. Mantle tone in first pic is hard to assess, it's a 3cy and could be both heuglini or barabensis but it just feels beetter for heuglini, looks dark enough.

Odd Wheatear on Paphos last week?

actually Jane is right, I guess. I didn't look properly earlier. It's too grey on mantle, wing flash, peachy wash to cheeks, pp is ok for Finsch's.

Odd Wheatear on Paphos last week?

Closed tails in most wheatears appear completely black, a common pitfall. Just have a look at pics with males, you can see black tails both from above and below.

Wader ID. Gothenburg, SW Sweden. April 15.

looks like a Common Sandpiper to me. The other contender is Green Sand but stance, somewhat divided breast field, shortish legs and apparent white breast sides make it look much more like Common Sand.

Shorebird ID help - Bolivar Peninsula, TX

I think it's real indeed, a small part on upper leg still yellow, rest is apparently mud covered. Bill is fine and pointed, breast would be extremely dark for any Semipalmated Sanpiper. So, Least Sandpiper.
