    I have seen many red-bellied woodpeckers in many states, nad haven't noticed this. But has anyone seen one with yellowish wash between bill and forehead or am I seeing a Golden-fronted? If not, I may have seen Colorado's first Golden-fronted woodpecker last Friday.

    IDs from Cape Henlopen Delaware

    #2 looks like a wierd/molting House Finch. Maybe the angle but the bill look smallish. Could be a small billed Female BluGb the feather color is correct.

    Don't LeContes have stripped napes? Every Le Contes I've seen have them. I have seen salt marsh sharp-tailes at Cape May & Brigantine. Grasshopper is possible, have never seen one in the open like this, except on fences, they vary alot (bill looks good too). So, my guess is Salt marsh StaSp

    rusty shoulder, light eye-ring = Vesper sparrow. white outer tail feathers a key too.

    light ones = starlings darkies = Brewer's Blackbirds. Cowbirds are much smaller than Starlings.

    Kingbird, but which species

    I have to agree, time of year, probably a molting Western Kingbird. Not dark enough to be Cassin's. Bill probably to small for the other yellow kingbirds. Thanks for the comments.

    A molting adult male Brewer's Blackbird to me. All grackles would be very rare that far north in Cal.

    The bird is definitly a Say's Phoebe. I've seen hundreds through the years in Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and other states in SW USA.

    Thayers, Glaucous-winged or Hybrid Gull ???

    Looks to small for a western/glaucous-winged hybred. Their bills are quite large too. Maybe a full Thayer's or Thayer's/herring - the bill looks small enough to be Thayer's. The size compared to Herring is slightly large for Thayer's. but within range. Just my thoughts. Van

    FYI-- Semipalm's are very rare on west coast of USA. More common from Colorado east.
