    Willow Tit id

Looking through one of the field guides in the hides at Sculthorpe Moor reserve, Norfolk, and came across this photo. It's labeled as a Willow Tit, but the cheek pattern and aparrent pale cutting edge to the bill makes me think it might be a Marsh Tit, wrongly labeled. Any thoughts...

    Hawke Endurance eyepiece

I have a Hawke Endurance 20-60x60 scope, and am dying for an upgrade, but it aint going to happen any time soon. However, I reckon a wide angled, 25x non-zoom eyepiece would increase its useability massively, as the zoom eyepiece is mediocre at best. Sadly, the scope model doesn't give a range...

    New Forest

Inspired a little by this thread, I headed down to the New Forest today, arriving at about 11. 1st stop; Nomansland (!), vaguelly hoping that I'd stumble upon the raptor watchpoing mentioned in the above thread. Bit of a longshot as Lorne didn't give specific site details (rightly so), but I...

    South coast seawatching

Hi all, Im going to have a stab at seawatching off the south of Hayling Island, Hants, tomorrow, but I have know idea as to whether I'll see anything at all! Is the South coast any good for seawatching? I'd imaging that most seabirds move from the North, so the East and West coasts of the UK...

    Farlington Marsh - second visit

Another visit to Farlington Marsh today. Got there about 10:30ish. Bitterly cold, and a cloudless sky. I wasnt really dressed for it, which was a massive put-off and my heart wasnt really in it at first. The first lap of the place didnt really produce anything different to what I saw on the...
