    Recovering File Numbering

Folks, I'm asking on behalf of a friend who has just received his brand new 5DMK3 having moved up from a 5DMK1 unfortunately this is what has happened Quote: Because I foolishly did not format my cards prior to using the MK III, my image numbering kicks in at something ridiculous. Can I...

Help with Televid 62 Digiscoping adaptor for Lumix LX5 or Leica DLUX5

I have a small window courtesy of a BF member to explore the connection between a Leica Televid APO 62 scope and a Panasonic LX5 (Leica D-LUX5). Fight?

Apparently Abbotsbury Swannery is host to 'wild' swans so these are not really captive birds as they can fly away (if they don't like the food). This image is part of a sequence which can be found here... http://www.flickr.com/photos/jayteepix/sets/72157624011587587/ The others of the...

Russians? Swedes? It will soon be gone!

The Rowan tree seems to have an unusually bumper crop of berries this year (does this really mean a bad Winter?) Until these guys turned up, the locals must have felt it beneath them to eat these, however, they better hurry up or the Fieldfare's will have stripped it in a few days time ;) Jamie

Move to pan/tilt from ball head

Completely dumb questions:- 1) Do you lock the tilt by twisting the pan handle (if that's what it's called)? 2) I note most tilt/pan heads are described for video use, does this mean that fluid damps the pan speed? Would this adversly affect panning (and tilt) say photographing a football...

    Somerset Birding

Dejected at the lack of presence on BirdForum of our beautiful County of Somerset, (notwithstanding there are viable ornitholigical groups in this county), why can't we have a presence here on BirdForum??? Do these 4 threads spread over 5 years represent Somerset birding on birdforum???

Well, The county I live in doesn't seem to have many birds, or could that be people interested in birds? Well at least on BirdForum that is the way it appears. Could someone please offer some links that I could explore to enhance my local birding experience?? Jamie
