    Another bulbul in Singapore!

    Yeah that's what I read online. Quite surprised to have seen one at Bukit Batok Nature Park. In fact, it was probably not the only one. There was another similar-looking bird in the vicinity but it flew off before I could take a good look at it.

    I'm obviously on a bulbul roll here :-) but this time I'm quite sure it is NOT an olive-winged bulbul. By the way, this was spotted in Bukit Batok Nature Park. Straw-headed bulbul, anyone? (Crossing my fingers but happy to be corrected anyway!)

    It was a dark and rainy day in Bukit Batok Nature Park. I heard a Lineated Barbet but caught this bird in my sights. The angle wasn't great and as you can see the lighting was dismal. Is this indeed a Lineated Barbet? Help!

    Hi everyone I spotted this bird today at Bukit Batok Nature Park, here in Singapore. Looks like a raptor of some sort to me, but hey, am still green, so is this a raptor after all and if so, what kind is it (white belllied sea eagle?!).

    I'll be going to Phuket in Feb and would like to do a casual half day's or full day's worth of birding, but I can't seem to find any information on possible locations on Phuket Island itself. Does anyone know of good places to go to? It's a real short trip so I'm not looking at overnighters...
