    Autumwatch 2014

Totally agree with this and other similar comments. It did look as though it was "two's company, three is a crowd" and how stupid to put him in the water, diving to bring up mud and clumps of weed.

    Adding Orange email to iPad

Has anyone ever added an Orange/F.s. account to their iPad? I've been trying for the last few days without any success so far. I managed OK with the Hotmail accounts, they were reasonably easy. Any help or advice would be most welcome.

Thanks for the help Malcolm, much appreciated. It was just the iMagic scope I was interested in. As you say it must have been an older model.

Making a hide clamp from a tripod. Can it be done?

The problem with using a hide clamp is they all depend on the strength of the shelf you fix them to. Very few hides have shelves that are strong enough to give good support to a camera with a long lens. The best way to do it is to use a monopod with a clamp fixed to it. This way you have the...

    Norfolk birding

I'm booked on a boat trip to Blakeney Point one afternoon later this month, can anyone please advise on a good bird/wildlife photography venue to spend the morning not to far from the Morston area? Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Do you have a link to the netting? All I can find on Google is netting to prevent pigeons landing on buildings.

    Walking Boots

Having contacted Mountain Warehouse about the boots having slippery soles, I was told that they were "rough terrain" boots and had less grip on normal surfaces such as tracks, paths and roadways. They will not exchange the boots I bought even though nowhere in their advertising of the boots...

    Walking Boots

Just bought a new pair of Ascent 2 boots from Mountain Warehouse. Definitely one to avoid. Although the boots are comfortable, the soles, made from Vibram are very slippy on even slightly damp surfaces. It's like walking on ice. Mountain Warehouse couldn't be bothered with a reply to any of my...

    Puffins at Flamborough?

Can anyone please advise on the best location for the Puffins at Flamborough? After a trip to Bempton, I called in at the North Landing at this time last year and didn't see any at all. Someone mentioned the area near to the lighthouse as a possibility. Any help or advice would be most welcome.

    Opening times at RSPB Bempton

Can anyone please advise at what time it is possible to get out onto the cliffs at RSPB Bempton? I remember on my last visit I had to access the cliffs through the visitor centre shop. I'm travelling from Derbyshire and would like to arrive as early as possible.

    Waterproof/Breathable Over-trousers

To throw another name into the mix, I recently got hold of a pair of "Allday Rain Pants" from Sprayway. I tried these as they are lighter to wear than the Paramo ones I usually have on. Being manufactured from an electicated material, I found the Rain Pants to be better fitting than most...

    Waterproof/Breathable Over-trousers

Stuart, the biggest problem I have with all the over trousers I've tried is the horrible rustling noise they all seem to give. Not the best idea when tring to sneak up on a skittish bird or animal. I eventually went for "allday" type trousers. Mine are the Moss coloured Pajaro ones from Paramo...
