    Seen this morning, rural SW France - Bushes on the edge of a stubble field - only saw them very briefly Cirl Buntings - 1st Winter? male or female - not sure if first image is same bird but they were seen at the same time and I only saw one bird.

    I am just unsure about this one smaller than what I have seen before SW France - largish inland lakeside To me, it does not look like a Blue-tailed, Blue-eye, Variable, Southern or Azure Male Common Blue? ……. but it was very small …….. Yeh it is a Common Blue (Enallagma cyathigerum)
