Jaeger??, East of Concord New Hampshire, August 2020

Going through photos. This one looks like some type of Jaeger to me (which probably means it's just another seagull). Help please...

Sandpiper, Salsbury State Reserve, just north of Boston, Mass

Thanks. Curlew Sandpiper seemed far-fetched to me...

Sandpiper, Salsbury State Reserve, just north of Boston, Mass

Could I get a little help on this guy? Merlin identified it as a Curlew Sandpiper but marked it as "Rare". He was with a group of Sanderlings but didn't seem to match their markings or bill. Photo taken on November 18, 2020.

    Phoebe??, Deerfield, New Hampshire

Thanks. I was about to reply that it could be a Cowbird since a male popped into the feeder area as well.

    Phoebe??, Deerfield, New Hampshire

Another visitor at my feeders. Hopefully, I'll get better at the new locale. The bill has me puzzled.

    Sparrow, Deerfield, New Hampshire

Duh... Of course... Shows the brain shut down you can have when a particular type pops into your head first... Sorry...

    Sparrow, Deerfield, New Hampshire

Just relocated to New England so I'm getting used to the critters in these parts. This guy was on my feeder today. Ideas?

    Small Drab Warbler, Duneiden Florida

I hate identifying birds with no significant markings. Merlin identified this little guy (taken Oct 1) as one of a half dozen warblers. Merlin identified it as blackburnian, prairie, Tennessee, pine, or orange-crowned. I'm inclined to say orange-crowned even though they're not common in the...

    Another from Christmas Mountains Texas

Hoping for a Western Wood Peewee??? I don't see any of the color of a Say's Phoebe.

Little guy from Christmas Mountains, Texas

Thanks. I was actually just responding to say "nevermind, I found it" but you were too fast.

Christmas Mountains, Near Big Bend Natl Pk

Aww crap... There were a lot of BHCBs in the area. I was thrown by the fact that I didn't see the white chin on any of the other girls... :(

Christmas Mountains, Near Big Bend Natl Pk

Taken Monday at an oasis in the high desert of far west Texas. Little help please.

    Hawk, St Petersburg, Florida. Today.

A little help please. Not used to anything other than red-shoulders around here...

Flycatcher, Pasco County, Florida. March 2018

These are all the same individual. I am inclined to say a Scissor-Tailed Flycatcher. This species is a rarity for the area but a juvenile was reported to eBird eight times in this spot (actually on the same wire) during the week I took these photos. I would like confirmation since if it is...

    Hawk, Ammo Dump, Gamboa, Panama

Actually I think I'm narrowing it down to Gray-Lined Hawk.

    Hawk, Ammo Dump, Gamboa, Panama

Hard to tell if this guy is a Gray Hawk or a Roadside Hawk. Any ideas and pointers on how to tell them apart.

Final Post for El Valle, Panama

I'm inclined to agree with you. I've gone through every raptor with a red eye with a back anything like that and compared them with range maps and it looks narrowed down to a Double-Toothed Kite. Thanks for the tip. If anyone disagrees, please let me know. I assume no speculation on the...

Final Post for El Valle, Panama

Two more from El Valle de Anton. The first seems to have the yellow cap extending behind the eye so it makes me think either a Thick-Billed Euphonia or a Yellow-Crowned Euphonia. I think the depth of the cap should rule out the more common Yellow-Throated Euphonia. Thoughts? The second...

Another one from El Valle, Panama

This one should be simpler but there seems to be so many little wrens that are so close to each other that I thought I should check with the local experts...

    El Valle de Anton, Panama

Just got back from a week in Panama. This little guy has me a bit confused. The very light colored underside seems to rule out the obvious choices of Red-Legged Honeycreeper and the Scarlet-Thighed Dacnis, both of which should be a dark blue underneath. Any help would be appreciated.

    Warbler, Ft DeSoto, Florida

Ft Desoto Park was swarming with warblers, vireos, thrushes and tanagers this weekend. Got this guy yesterday. A little too generic for me to ID. A little help please.

    Ducks, Pinellas County, Florida

Hmmm... They were in a Preserve area and are definitely not captive since I saw them fly in. Escapees maybe?

    Ducks, Pinellas County, Florida

I have a feeling this one is obvious but I'm not finding it in my apps or books. Taken today in northern Pinellas County.

    Sandpiper. Lake Apopka, Central Florida

Saw this guy this afternoon at Lake Apopka, just west of Orlando, Florida, USA. Little help please.
