    Whitethroat in my garden (UK)

Monday 21/4/08 male Whitethroat spent about 10 minutes in my garden, a first for me! Later, I saw 2 Swallows flying overhead. Spring has arrived at last. I would have thought a Whitethroat was an unusual bird to get in a small garden like mine. Anybody else see these lovely birds? Steve

    Brambling in my garden

Yes, the first ever Brambling, a lovely female, arrived in my garden a couple of days ago along with a small flock of Chaffinches. Has been ever present since, feeding on the spilt feeder seed. That's the first in 22 years here. Does anyone know if there are more about this winter? Steve

    Minolta Z3

I am thinking of buying a Minolta Z3. The small size, light weight and 12x zoom are especially appealing. I have read the previous posts on this camera and was wondering if anyone else could add any other opinions, either for or against. Many thanks, Steve
