    The Glossy on the meads was a huge shock wasn't it..Being on are local patch right by a very busy town center, a busy pub/restaurant and a big shopping park not to mention the place has roundabouts and road's going around the whole patch..But it was great!!!

    Iv been looking out for that Grey Wagtail all week by the Sluice, Seems a resident in that area seen him or her there a few times before plus another by Wilkinson's but that could of been that bird.

    It seems very much that way, lakes see a big number of Coots and fewer moorhens and rivers see more Moorhens, that's just from my experience. will have to go over Central for a look one morning, getting back in to my birding more now. I did basically none in the summer.

    Yes it was cold, wet and rainy..And my socks where wet which was not nice. Yes there was deferentially a noticeable increase they where all over the place some Juvs aswell as adults. Strangely I could'nt see any Coots, with them being very similar I thought they would kind of "hang" together...

    Attempted to try go over the Baddow Meads about middy but only got as far as about 200 yards past the road bridge because the rain got to much with the factor that I did'nt have my water proofs with me...Still saw a few birds; 6 Little Grebe's which is nice to see there back hopefully numbers...

    Iv seen them around the weir pool quite a bit in the past. Hopefully we do get big numbers this winter...would be good to see a few other ducks aswell tufted duck ect

    Not 100% sure on your ID query... for baddow meads you could park in tescos homeplus by army and navy then just cut through the bushes and follow the river for how ever long you feel. Or you could park by mothercare (you have to pay) and walk along the river up to the meads. Or you could park...
