    Bill Oddie and Zoos.

"Can you imagine how exciting and impressionable it must be to a child to see a creature up close.." I can imagine how my 8 & 10 year old granchildren might feel watching this wild animal endlesly parading backwards & forward pointlesdly looking at 40 year olds through a chain link fence...

    Bill Oddie and Zoos.

Don't think Deseo meant to be hurtful with his comments about the 'Oddie'. Not dissimilar to a tweet I just read from Bo Boelans. (aka Fatbirder) "Just read Bill Oddie's tweets... Maltese Hunters say he is mad! Bill, you may be mad as a rabbit, but they are selfish, fatherless and EVIL!"

    Bill Oddie and Zoos.

The idea of Zoos doesn't sit well with me, sorry. Have taken my grandchildren to a few and I'm not impressed. The residents of these zoo's look either very stressed or in the main bored out of their minds. Adding a few meerkats makes the kids go ah! but sadens me.

    Dogs on Nature Reserves

The dog that attacked and bit my trousers was owned by a well dressed lady, who was for from penniless. Drove a very nice car. obviously stinking of dog. Yes! she was uncaring, ignorant and very rude but does that qualify her as a "loutess". By the way John. Is that word in the 'Oxford...

    Dogs on Nature Reserves

Don't know about reading signs. In my experience when a dog owners is asked to please put their dog on a lead, most don't appear to understand a simple spoken request. Yet these same dog owners fully expect their dogs to understand the English language. Amazing...

    Dogs on Nature Reserves

Deseo's chipped dog quip was really funny but again it's not the dogs to blame folks. It's their uncaring, ignorant, arrogant and often rude owners. :C (Put an end to wildlife's suffering. Support your local wildlife by signing the petition below - Please )...

You shouldn't be smoking it's bad for you mate. I know what you mean though but despite that, I still have the greatest respect for our police officers and the work they have to undertake. Not to keen on some of their call centre staff at present. Unfortunately from experience I know that dog...

    Dogs on Nature Reserves

Phoned Humberside Police and they couldn't make their minds up if it was Linc's Police or Humberside that spoke to the irresponsible lady dog owner, or if the offence was on the reserve or the beach. After a somewhat heated exchange. The person I was addressing then informed me that in fact the...

Dogs on Nature Reserves. Thanks for that mate. You made me think which is a novelty. So I did some research for myself.. (See below) "Section 10(2) of the 1991 Act defines a public place as meaning any street, road or other place to which the public have, or are permitted to have access"...

Not really Peter. I was not reassured by Humberside Police regarding the attack on my person by the out of control dog either. Humberside police called to inform me there was no crime to answer. The lady officer gave me the distinct impression that after speaking to the owner about the incident...

The wildlife trust is unlike other organisations Peter. I have already spoken to the Cheif Executive at their 'National Office'. Very nice lady, once the Chief exec at Notts. WT. Guess what. Nothing to do with them. It's just sheer genius the way they operate. You couldn't make it up.
