There is a lone Pink Footed Goose chilling with a pair of Mallards in a slightly flooded field just outside Alyth. I wonder if it will stay in the area all year.

Right - I can't find the Riverside nature reserve. If I was coming from the Tescos along the riverside, do I go past the airport and the Riverside Inn? Then what?

Completely uninteresting to most, but the big Sycamore outside my lounge window (The house is 2 story so the tree is window level) and it is bouncin' with birds today. There are blue tits, great tits, willow warbler (or chiffchaff - can't see clearly enough), blackcaps, house sparrow, collared...

At my work there are House Martins nesting on nearly every wall and right beside the windows so lovely views of the wee beasties. Sand Martins and Swallows (and aforementioned H Martins) all regularly feed on the burn that runs by the side of the building. 3 Male Mallards regularly frequent the...

Quite impressed, driving home from Dundee saw my daily viewing of a Barn Owl at Auchterhouse, but didn't expect to also see a Tawny Owl sitting on a dead tree at the side of the road (tree has only the trunk left, so I noticed the owl silhouette, slowed down and noticed it wasn't a Barn Owl...

I have a photo of an Osprey sitting on a fence post but it won't upload - it seems very out of context not in the air or near water!

I have an unbelievably distracted kind of person. Attention span of a gnat. I'm a lets go to a nice place and look around and if birds appear then cool kind of birdwatcher. I'm a geographer - so I spend a lot of time working outside - birdwatching is just an added extra while i'm doing it.

I'd love to go see the Hawfinches, but I'm a really distracted kind of Birdwatcher who would get bored.
