    local merlin i was driving up newland common road today back end of droitwich when a bird of prey went up and flew along side me for about 100 yards i was surprised when i realised it was a merlin, are they common around the area this time of year, never seen one round here before. cheers trace.

    just like summer the third pic i have no idea, flew in and out of moors what caught my eye was the way it flew it flapped fast like say a tufted but then glided then flapped again,thought i'd put it on just in case, also had a pheasant if you haven't had one for the month.

    i had two individuals yesterday what surprised me was the lack off butterflys and not one dragonfly.

    robins and dabchicks a bit of courtship from monday from the robins and the dabchicks were calling and fighting over territory.

    the two chicks were tiny and spent most of the time on one parents back been fed there by the other parent. too far off for any decent pics.
