    I will be onsite by 05.45am. There is a Golf course backing on to the FC onto which the bird could disappear but hoping for a Warwickshire tick today ! If anyone does not know the FC is off Knights lane , Tiddington. Edit. No sign in a 2 hour early morning search - no other birders looking.

    Green winged teal on river pool at Brandon. Also a Ringed plover from Wright hide. Large finch flock still present with numerous Brambling opp.the railway carriages nr.Coventry air museum.

    View from the obvious gateway on the right overlooking the new diggings,this is a regular site for Green sand piper but there is a lot of disturbance at present during the week.Worth a quick look if you are nearby. Further down Pagets lane lane there are more pools but viewing is restricted and...

    Manx shearwater this evening on the grand union canal at Hatton nr. lock 36 about 500m downhill from the car park. Seen down to 1 metre at 7.50 pm.

    Brandon this morning 06.00- 08.30. Grasshopper warblers seem to be numerous this spring. One very vocal bird from Steetley hide giving good and prolonged views.Also one seen by golf course near new hare covert,and double figures heard. 1 Reeve from Wright hide.

    The visitor centre shuts at 4 but once you are in the reserve you can stay as long as you like as there is access outwards ok.

    Today the Spotted crake has only been seen from Baldwin hide looking directy towards east marsh hide ,There is a very small area of flattened reed where the bird appeared at 6.20pm and 7.30pm and also seen by others at 4.40 in the same spot.
