Water features? (1 Viewer)

I was going to build a pond but i am a bit concerned about my little niece so i decided not to but to go for a water feature instead.
I have looked at solar power, electric power ones that will also serve as a bath , drinking fountain for birds.

Obviously solar power is best but i have heard not so good realibility issues with them.

I don't want anything big but just enough for the birds to bathe and offcoarse i love the sound of fresh water all being i know its the same over again if you see what i mean.
Thanks to a expensive photograph hobby it will have to be on the budget size but realibility and safe.

Any Ideas? B :)

I have installed a small pond that is powered by a solar panel. At just under £200 pound I would`nt call it cheap but it has been running for a month with no problems as such,
Our garden is south facing and the water runs from 10AM `til 4 PM which means that when we sit out in the evening we can not hear running water.
The instructions also state that the pump should be stored for the winter.I presume in case it freezes.I am going to let it stay and see what happens.
So if you want running water in the evenings go for electric.
