Magnificent Frigatebird - South Florida (1 Viewer)

I occasionally see frigates when I'm at the beach in the Fort Lauderdale area, but usually see them more when out fishing.

On Friday I was headed to key biscayne to play golf and the skies along the causeway were filled with frigates.

I think there were 8-10 birds as I drove out mid morning. They truly are magnificent to watch as they sail through the air. They remind me of some high tech futuristic stealth bomber.

If you are in the area, I would think chances of seeing them frequent the area is very good and not having to go out on a boat.

Good for you! They always remind me of some drawings from when I was young of flying dinosaurs.
