Please help me identify what kind of bird this is from (1 Viewer)

I think it might be a single barb from a marabou feather. These days from a turkey rather than a marabou stork and dyed in a whole range of colours. They are commonly used in costume making and for fancy dress outfits. Also used in flytying.

So, it may be a sign that you have recently hosted a wild party or there's a fly fisherman in the family; rather than a rare bird in residence!

Appears very close to dyed Ostrich plume, (wing)
used for flytying, decoration, adornment, etc.
