I got a Easter Egg (1 Viewer)

This morning Easter Sunday I was surprised to see a female Mallard in our enclosed back garden, especially as we live in a large town. I was even more surprised a hour later to see that she had laid a egg underneath our Peony bush. She seems to be sitting just off the egg. The Duck does not seem to be put off by me wandering about the garden. Whats the best to feed it (Not bread) Ive scattered bird seed from the feeder but its not interested in that,

Mike.

If she has nested then she won't need feeding, when choosing her nest location she will have taken into account where she will get natural food.

I had one nest under my front bay window in amongst some lavender once. Most mornings I would see her waddling down the road back to the nest presumably after stretching her wings and having "breakfast".
