Got out of my vehicle and seen a real cool bird it didn't even flinch when I walked up to it. I took out my iPhone and took a couple photos and was wondering what kind of bird this is?

Thanks!

That is so cool, thanks!

Welcome to the forum! Nighthawks are mostly active at dusk (or at least that is when they are most often seen flying). In south Florida, they frequently roost out in the open during the day on utility wires (especially in more rural areas I believe). But yours is the only part of the country where I've seen them do this. It is a treat to see them perched.

Best,
Jim
