European bird song app.on android (1 Viewer)

I have just moved into the 21st century and purchased a Samsung Galaxy Ace2 smartphone.I am looking for an app.that will give me the songs and calls of all european birds.I have searched this forum but failed to find anything suitable.I do not need a bird guide just the songs and calls to help me identify the sounds in the field.I am not a techno person so please keep it simple.Thank you in anticipation......Eddy

Recordings are often short and may not include calls as well as songs. AFAIK there is no app that is just songs with no guide.

It doesn't have any pictures or text on any of the species yet but it does have access to download Xeno-canto calls on it. That's all I use it for and you only connect to the internet to download what you want.

Just remember on the first page to hit the i button because the + one will take you to the add observation screen with no access to the calls.

If you are interested in downloading calls yourself from Xeno-Canto, then also remember Dropbox. I use it on an ipad and on my various PCs. For sounds, downloading to a subfolder under dropbox and then marking each file as available off line on the ipad works a treat.

If you are one of the few people not already with a dropbox account, click this link: https://db.tt/MEImuLV -- you will get extra storage space, and so will I, compared to if you just search for the service.
