Yes...I snapped it today (pm), at a local pond (Epping Forest).

There are quite a few species at large in the UK, I have seen Yellow Bellied and red eared slider and Florida Red Bellied Turtle and I am sure there a few more out and about.

Connaught water regularly has red eared sliders, I have seen them there many times.

Yes they have been present for many years, I assume the WPT (found in the small pond at Butler's Retreat), was a release individual, presumably it outgrew it's accommodation.
