You can have Craig Robson's Birds of SouthEast Asia, it serves a good reference but ofcourse it doesnt give you the distribution maps n endemic ones. An upto date field guide for Sichuan n Yunnan is still a big hole. The best thing to do is to get the checklist from ebird and cross reference with CR's Birds of SouthEast Asia plus a little homework on the endemics.

Yeah, Ofcourse. Sid is top notch for Sichuan. He goes by the forum name "China Guy". His thread in China section has plethora of info too.
