1. maybe a stupid question, but is this a red-footed falcon? Almost everything points to it, but the bird seems just weirdly huge. I have never seen a juvenile from so close (only adults), so it's just that?

2. another confirmation: greater sand plover? They seem easy on paper, but I am never really sure.

3 and 4. I am so hopelessly bad with warblers outside my home area. 34 is lesser whitethroat, I guess?

5. are these (the ones that are not Lesser Crested) White-cheeked terns? Or it can't be told from such a distance?

Thanks!

1.yes, a juv RFF
2. yes
3. willow w.
4. lesser whitethroat
5. can't tell. bill looks long and downcurved in one ind.; nice sooty gull also.

I identified some of the tentative WCTs in flight - even though the shots are from big distance, these may be useful? I find the species' account in Svensson underwhelming, so I still can't tell much, but maybe for people who know the species well it will now be easy.

I would like to bump this topic. Tried to revisit the terns after some time, but could not really make a lot of sense of it. I appreciate Iraqi Babbler's input, thanks! - but I am still not really sold that 1 and 4 could be WCT if the rest is little tern, I see very little difference. But maybe I am just too stubborn and it is obvious? I would like to tick a new species, but I like to be a little more sure before I do that!
