Hi everyone,
I'll likely have 4 or 5 days free in Israel during late July - am trying to decide what to do with myself. Having never visited Europe or the Middle East, I would really appreciate suggestions for the best one or two sites to see Middle Eastern specialties, (eg: not sure if Sinnai Rosefinch is possible in summer, but other potential targets include the North African and Arabian wheatears, larks, bustards, sandgrouse, buntings, sparrows, warblers, etc). The consistent hits I get seem to be Elliat, Nizzana and Hula Valley, though I'm having difficulting sifting through all the irrelevant information on spring migrants to pick out target birds.
Further, why do Helm and Princeton always publish two versions of the same field guide... Anyone have a preference for either publication?
Cheers!
Josh
