Digiscoping with a Kowa TSN-603ED scope (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone.

I have a 30x Wide angle lens on the above Kowa scope and have been dabbling with digiscoping using an old Pentax Optio SV compact handheld to the scope.

The camera's now nearing the end of its useful life and I'm looking to upgrade to a better compact which would have to double up as the family all-purpose camera as well as for digiscoping.
My wish (at this stage!!) is to get good quality record shots as opposed to photographic excellence!

I think that I'm looking for a set up that's pretty simple in terms of adaptors connecting camera to scope and, as I prefer travelling 'light', a pocketable camera.

Any ideas would be gratefully received.
Thank you :t:

I know this is an old thread, but for anyone looking for a recommendation for this scope, the Panasonic Lumix LX7 is excellent. You can get good results without any adaptor simply by holding the camera to the scope's eyepiece. The LX7 is discontinued but still available from some online retailers.
