I took this Photgraph the other day of a duck on my local river. I believe this is the male of the species, but I don`t know what species it is.

Can anyone help me to Identify this duck?

This is another one of those hybrid/domestic type things. Don't know where to start on it's parentage! Probably a mix of domestic breeds.

Thanks guys.

Well whatever he is, he`s certainly a handsom fellow. Quite large too, about half as big again as a Mallard.

This may well be the case lol, but as I only shoot my subjects with a camera, I think I`ll leave him in peace.
