Great Gray Owl-Strix nebulosa; shot on auto focus with a Nikon D70 using a AF-A Nikkor 18-70mm. Location was a few miles north of Kingston, Ontario Canada 11 March 05 with over cast skies.

Lovely bird. My those shots took me back a few years to a trip to remnant rain forest near New Orleans when a great grey owl was staring at us motionless with a hide full of birders transfixed by it.
