Juvenile Sparrowhawk London UK (1 Viewer)

ChrisKten

It's true, I quite like Pigeons
This the first kill in my garden that I've seen this year (seen two failed attacks). This looks like a new bird, or it could just be my new camera takes better pictures, even through grubby double glazing |=)| (the Pigeons practically live in my garden, so are always perching close to the windows). I took one more picture, but you can see the fledgling Starling screaming, if you know what I mean, so I haven't posted it (it's also a bit out of focus).

Anyway, juvenile female?

Great photos. Why do you think it's a juvenile and not an adult?

I just found 2 video captures of the regulars in my garden. As you can see, the eyebrows (supercilium) is much more noticeable. Which is why I thought this one might be a juvenile.

Thanks for replying.

lol, I forgot to attach the pictures.
