Great Global Backyard Bird Count this weekend (1 Viewer)

This weekend is the 17th annual Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC), a good chance to unite birdwatchers worldwide in the common cause of enjoying birds in the field, recording our observations, and using that information to understand and protect them.

Started surprise rain in many parts of India. !
Might affect data collection in this part of world.

Still spirits are high of people who are already commited.

I had the opposite "problem" : I went birding at our city's riverbanks, and due to excellent spring weather and state holiday there were tens of thousands of people, making joyous noise and occupying every boat and every bit of bank, so birds moved too far from the bank to be properly identified, and I even couldn't hear any Great Tit singing over the noise.

Fortunately I started early yesterday when weather was much less inviting for leisurely walks

Good to see India giving more than double checklists compared to last year.
With number of birders I am aware of million checklists can be possible from India.
