Refurbished Zeiss Victory 8x32 T*FL (1 Viewer)

eBay is listing a pair or refurbished Victory 8x32 T*FLs for $1,850. How good are refurbished binoculars like these?

I've bought many refurbished items and have always enjoyed the savings and the like-new quality. For optics, is it worth looking into or is it hit or miss?

Just looking for anyone who've gone this route.

Oh: and the savings are only $100 over brand new, so I am wondering what the attraction is.

I would check with Cameraland, they are selling brand new Zeiss FL 8x32's
for $1,399. and demo's for less.

They have the Zeiss Conquest 8x32HD demo at $749.

I would go that direction.
