Zeiss Warranty (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone -

I just got my Zeiss 85 and I absolutely love it. One the reasons I purchased it was the lifetime transferable warranty, but as I read the the text of the warranty it seems to cover only defects in the optics or manufacture.

I know that the Nikon warranty will cover the repairs for ANY damage (ie scope gets dropped) for $10. What I'm wondering is, has anyone had to send equipment back to Zeiss for accidental damage and what did they charge? I haven't damaged the scope in the 4 hours I've had it, but I'm just trying to be prepared! Thanks - Mary
